Media Essentials (1 day workshop - up to 20 people)

An introductory, large group workshop designed to raise awareness about how to work with the media, what journalists really need and the basics of media relations. You'll learn what really motivates journalists, and how the news process really works. Perfect for people dealing with media at the frontline, or as a first step in spokesperson training.

Managing the Media (1 day workshop - up to 5 people)

The signature Media SkillsTM course, this workshop has been used by hundreds of organisations to train their key spokespeople. This course provides the key elements and easy-to-remember formulas for professionally managing media interviews. Spokespeople learn the rules of the media game and how to get their message across each and every time.

Maximising the Media (1 day workshop - up to 3 people)

An intense workout for people with previous media experience and training, to further develop their skills and technique. Designed for spokespeople and those dealing with media at a high level.

Managing the Media in a Crisis (1 - 3 day program)

To give people a taste of the demands of media in a crisis, this one day workshop looks at the key elements needed to handle reactive interviews.
While also covering the basics of media interview technique, it allows even relatively inexperienced spokespeople insights into what they need for bad news scenarios.

A Crisis, the Media and You

The specially developed approach used in this program powerfully demonstrates how the media work in a crisis. Participants learn a four-stage approach that is easy to remember and use in a crisis. The course is essential for anyone who is part of a crisis management team, is likely to be a spokesperson, manages the communication process or just needs to understand the media game. The course can be adapted for spokespeople as well as key front-line staff. Many organisations use the methodology to exercise their crisis communication plans.

Personal Coaching (2-3hrs each, up to 6 sessions)

Highly customised for the senior executive, individual coaching allows an intensive session on interview technique. Often used by experienced performers as a spot workout on handling difficult questions or as part of a programming for developing a senior spokesperson's skills.

Packaging Media Messages (Half day up to 15 people)

When the words you say have to get the message across without fail, this workshop takes you through a sure-fire process to come up with the right key messages. This message development workshop can also be used to "road-test" messages prior to the launch of a major campaign or an important company announcement.

Just In time

For a last minute run-through before a scheduled or anticipated interview. This can be done f2f, over the phone or via video conference.

Refresher

Tailored to the individual's circumstances, this is a comprehensive refresher to pick up bad habits and push people to the next level.  It is preferable that participants have already received Media SkillsTM training.
