Kirsty McIvor has extensive experience on both sides of the microphone: first as a journalist and then as a UN spokesperson.

She spent 16 years as a journalist working in Australia, the UK and America. She was Executive Producer of PM and ABC Radio News as well as the afternoon presenter on ABC 702 in Sydney.

Kirsty then joined the United Nations as the Chief of Communication UNICEF. She worked in Bangladesh and Indonesia before returning to Australia in 2008. She has conducted media training throughout the world and is excited to be part of the Media Skills™ Network.
